Anne Escheman, 99 passed away August 25, 2022. Anne was born on September 3, 1922 in Crested Butte, Co. to John and Anna Verzuh.

Anne married Carl Eschman on July 11, 1947, in Raton, New Mexico. They lived on the family farm in Blanca and later moved to their mountain home in Fort Garland before moving to Pueblo, Co. in 1995. Following the passing of her husband in 2008, Anne moved to The Villa of Pueblo in 2016.

Anne enjoyed bowling with her many friends, was an avid reader, Bridge player and a wonderful cook. She crocheted numerous afghans for family and friends and loved the “penny slot machines.”

Anne is survived by her son, Roger (Lila Jean) Escheman, grandson Jeff (Linette) Escheman and Ron (Barbara) Escheman, four great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is her beloved sister Janny Zinanti Pueblo, Co., brother Ed Verzuh of Arvada, Co., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters.

Cremation was chosen and a private family service will be held at Blanca Cemetery.
