SAN LUIS — Anita Bernice Segura, 82, went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2020, at the Evergreen Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.

Anita came into the world on August 30, 1937 in San Acacio, Colorado, the daughter of Candido Martinez and Cecelia Cordova-Martinez. Anita was a kind, beautiful and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed dancing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Flora (Phil) Archuleta and Frances (Lloyd) Trujillo, both of Alamosa; Magdalen (Greg) Molyneux, Elko, NV; Mary (Albert) Archuleta, Denver; Elsie (Zack) Pimentel, Burlington; son, Efren (JoAnn) Segura, Alamosa.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Penta Efren Segura; parents, Candido and Cecelia Martinez; daughters, Lucille Lovato and Juanita Segura; son, Joseph T. Segura; brothers, Joe O. Martinez and Valois Martinez; sister, Dorothy Archuleta; mother and father-in-law, Tircio & Magdalena Segura.
