Longtime Capulin resident Andy Martinez, 36, passed away on July 8, 2017.  He was born on January 16, 1981 in La Jara, Colorado to Juanita and David Martinez.

He was a multi-talented man, and his past jobs included satellite installation, painting, and janitorial work.  He loved doing anything with his hands and working on cars in any way possible.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.

Andy is survived by his son, Noah Martinez.  As well as his siblings Danielle and Don Martinez and his mother Juanita Martinez (Elmer Montoya); his Aunts and Uncles: Sylvia (Michael) Maez, Balvina Zarazua, Rosemary Gonzalez, Emma (Jose) Torres, Angie Gonzales, Manuel Cervantez, Quirino (Glenda) Cerantez, Ruben (Angel) Cervantez; his grandma Maria Cervantez; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Lupe Cervantez; Cousin, Marissa Cervantez; His uncle Cruz Zarazua as well as his grandparents, Quirino Cervantez and Andy Martinez.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Andy at 1:00 P.M. on Friday July 14, 2017 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Capulin.  A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday July 13, 2017 also at St. Joseph’s.  Burial will follow services at the Capulin Cemetery.  A reception will be held on Friday July 14 at 3:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic church in La Jara.
