Alzheimer’s Association will host forum

ALAMOSA — The Alzheimer’s Association will be hosting a community forum in a couple of weeks in Alamosa.

The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Trinidad State Junior College/Valley Campus, 1011 Main Street, Alamosa.

The meeting will be held in Room 120, which is very close to parking and an entrance on the west side.

This important meeting will provide an overview about Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, including information on available services and programs, as well as some updates on Alzheimer’s research.

Most importantly, then, will be a facilitated discussion to seek valuable input from people across the region.

We hope our audience includes public officials, health care professionals, church employees, librarians, family members and others regarding the short- and long-term needs of citizens who are now — or someday will be — living with dementia.

RSVPs are required by calling Jill at 719-372-5985.
