November 24, 1961— March 6, 2020

ALAMOSA — Allison Lynn Sparrow-Balog 58, with great sadness she passed away on March 6, 2020. With her passing, it brings great sorrow to the family, and her many friends, and especially one of her special nephews who she greatly admired, she spent a lot of precious time with her Nephew James Bailey.

Allison met the love of her life, Steven J Balog, when he owned and operated the St. Ives Bar and Grill in 1990. They married May 16, 1993, and lived a happy life together they moved around a bit and settled in Denver CO. While living in Denver Allison met a lot of good friends and she also became a caretaker for some people that lived in the same apartment complex as Steve and her. She really enjoyed taking care of those special people. And she took pride in helping the family members of those she took care of.

Allison enjoyed her time taking care of her husband as well as making sure that her God Daughter and nephew had what they needed. She was also known to help others when they needed someone she was kind-hearted that way. Allison enjoyed riding bikes, and reading especially the bible that her mother gave her. She spent a lot of time helping her sister Kathryn take care of James, he was very special to Allison and she would spend hours playing games and reading with him.

Allison is survived by her brothers and sisters Gary G. (Sharon) Sparrow of Spring Branch TX, Glenn (Marsha) Sparrow of South Fork CO, Linda G. Sparrow of Alamosa CO, Timothy G. Sparrow of Denver CO, Kathryn Sparrow of Del Norte CO. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews August (Sarah) Sparrow of South Fork, Jacquline Sparrow of CO Springs CO, Bridget (Chuck) Sandoval of Monte Vista CO, Samantha Sparrow of Alamosa CO. As well as all her great-nieces and nephews.

Allison Precedes the death of both her parents Gene C. Sparrow and Mary B Sparrow, her husband Steven J. Balog and her nephews Brian Withersbee and Brandon Bailey, as well as her grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. Her Memorial will be August 8, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the West Pavilion at Cole Park in Alamosa CO. after her memorial her ashes will be entombed at a later date in Fort Morgan Cemetary with her husband Steven J. Balog.
