Newly designed refrigerated cases in frozen and dairy area

Better lighting and organization in produce area

“We are so excited to offer so much innovation at our location,” said Store Manager Adam Lopez. “We know ease and convenience matter to our shoppers. The remodel of our store is a great way to keep improving for our costumers.”

The store employs up to 350 associates full- and part-time positions within the store.

Walmart is committed to serving Alamosa and will support the following local organizations through $4,500 in grants: Rio Grande Hospital, La Puente, and Tu Casa Inc.

In April, Walmart announced it expects to spend an estimated $42 million in Colorado this year through the remodeling of 12 stores as well as the rollout of several in-store and online innovations designed to help busy customers save time and money.  The spend is part of Walmart’s expected capital expenditures guidance of approximately $11.0 billion for Fiscal Year 2019, which was outlined last October at the company’s annual meeting for the investment community and reiterated in February 2018.
