ALAMOSA–A presentation explaining the Alamosa Streets Trust Fund ballot issue will take place at Adams State University on Monday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. at McDaniel Hall, room 101. The public is invited to attend. Citizens will be able to vote on the issue during the Tuesday, Nov. 5 regular election.

Heather Brooks, Alamosa City Manager, will give a 20-minute presentation. There will be a question and answer period directly after the presentation.

The issue came to light after 44 percent of Alamosa citizens told the City, through the Comprehensive Plan update, that the streets in Alamosa were bad or very bad. Only 29 percent of residents felt that the City was doing a good job of maintaining streets. Smoother roads, sidewalks, and bike lanes were all identified as top priorities.

McDaniel Hall is located at 1500 First Street, across from the Student Union Building. Free parking for community members will be available in the McDaniel Hall parking lot between 3 and 5 p.m.
