ALAMOSA — This week is our Annual Christmas Bazaar and I couldn’t be more excited! So far we have some great quilts, art pieces, afghans, specialty baskets, a variety of jewelry, items for the home and beautiful handmade crafts! Join us on December 2nd from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Breakfast begins at 8 a.m., and we’ll be serving breakfast burritos (sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs, green chili & cheese), coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange juice or milk for $7 & homemade cinnamon rolls for $2.  Silent auction items, hand crafts & baked goods are available for purchase from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Raffle drawing takes place at 1 pm. Prizes include: 1st - “Barnyard boss” framed painting donated by Jim Gilmore, 2nd - “Social Circle Blues” handmade quilt donated by Rhonda Borders, 3rd - $50 Amazon Gift Card, 4th-$25 Gift card donated by Valley Meat. Tickets are $3 for one & $10 for five. Stop by the Center to purchase yours! Baked Items or Christmas Goodies may be brought the Friday or Saturday before the Bazaar.

* Tuesday, December 5th the senior bus departs @ 7:45 a.m. for Cities of Gold! Join us for this popular destination!

* Friday, December 8th Daniel Workman will conduct a Concealed Carry Training Class at 1 p.m. and the shooting range portion Saturday the 8th at 9 a.m. Class is free for members of the Alamosa Senior Citizens, $20 for seniors over 60 and $40 for all others. Weekly activities are for all seniors whether you are a member or not and include:

* 8:30 a.m. Coffee Social Hour.

* Billiards – tournament team competition / free play.

* Puzzles construction.

* Line Dancing with Karen Stills each Tuesday @ 10 a.m.

* Dime Bingo, M-Th from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Free to members. $2 fee for non-members.

* Free 5 point ear acupuncture each Tuesday @ 10:30 a.m. for veterans and immediate family

* Free 5 Point ear acupuncture each Wed @ 10:30 a.m. for those 50 and over.

* Dominoes - Fridays @ 12:30 p.m.

* Chair Yoga – December 8th & 15th @ 10 a.m.

* Chess - Thursdays @ 1 p.m.

* Daily transportation for seniors from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Call ahead at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride for errands, doctor visits, grocery shopping, dining at the center, etc. In case of inclement weather, please call the center for information regarding a possible closure or time delay,  719-589-3277. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining us! Regular annual membership is $30 per person or for an Ambassador membership $100 per person. We are located at 92 Colorado in Alamosa adjacent to Cole Park. Hours of operation are: M-Th 8 a.m.-3 p.m. & Fridays 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
