If you have something to donate, please bring your items to the center (92 Colorado Ave) during business hours, M-T 8 a.m.-3 p.m. & Fridays 8 a-2 p.m. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

The bazaar takes place on December 2nd from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Come and enjoy breakfast burritos from 7 – 10 a.m., silent auction items, hand crafts, baked goods and raffle drawing. Raffle prizes include: 1st - “Barnyard Boss” framed painting donated by Jim Gilmore, 2nd - “Social Circle Blues” handmade quilt donated by Rhonda Borders, 3rd - $50 Amazon Gift Card, 4th-$25 gift card donated by Valley Meat. Tickets are $3 for one & $10 for five. Stop by the center to purchase yours!

Coming Events:

* October 11th & 18th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., SLV Health will conduct a free flu shot clinic here at the center. According the CDC, October is the prime month be vaccinated so join us and say “Boo to the flu.

* The County Health Nurse will be on hand October 16th @ 10:30 a.m. for blood pressure and oxygen level checks. 

* Travel to Branson, Missouri with the seniors November 11th – 19th. Join us for a fabulous Holiday Extravaganza! Seats are available through October 27th.

* October 24th the Annual General Membership meeting takes place @ 1 p.m. Come and find out what’s happening at the Alamosa Senior Citizens Center, share your thoughts and vote for Membership Committee members.

* Casino excursion to Santa Claran on October 31st! Give us a call to reserve your seat on the bus!

Weekly activities are for all seniors whether you are a member or not and include:

* 8:30 a.m. Coffee Hour.

* Billiards – tournament team competition / free play.

* Puzzles.

* Craft Projects - September 19th @ 10 a.m.

* “Write Your Story” class each Monday through December 11th @ 10 a.m.

* Dime Bingo, M-Th from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Free to members. $2 fee for non-members.

* Free 5 Point ear acupuncture each Wed @ 10:30 a.m. for those 50 and over.

* Free 5 point ear acupuncture each Tuesday @ 10:30 a.m. for veterans and immediate family.

* Walk to Connect – Thursdays, Oct. 12th & 26th @ 10 a.m.

* Dominoes - Fridays @ 12:30 p.m.

* Chess - Thursdays @ 1 p.m.

Regular annual membership is $30 per person or for an Ambassador membership $100 per person. We are located at 92 Colorado in Alamosa adjacent to Cole Park.
