Alamosa Seniors: November is the month to be thankful

We had a great turn out for the raising of a new flag last Friday! Thank you, Roy Kiefer for the ceremony honoring our veterans and their wives and to those who have so faithfully served our country! I agree with an expression by Greg Judd: “The veterans of our military services have put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms that we enjoy. They have dedicated their lives to their country and deserve to be recognized for their commitment.” We certainly do recognize your sacrifice and are grateful beyond mere words!

I have always considered November as the “Thankful” month and think Psalm 100 from the Amplified Bible is an awesome expression of that. Allow me to share it with you!

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.

Serve the Lord with gladness and delight;

Come before His presence with joyful singing.

Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the Lord Himself is God;

It is He who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His].

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving

And His courts with praise.

Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name.

For the Lord is good;

His mercy and lovingkindness are everlasting,

His faithfulness [endures] to all generations
