ALAMOSA — Come and join the Alamosa Senior Citizens this Friday, August 18th at 4:30 p.m. as we celebrate member birthdays with a Barbeque Potluck. We will provide the burgers, fixins and birthday cake and you all bring a side dish! Spend a summer evening with friends and loved ones as we enjoy great food (it’s never anything but great at a senior potluck…) and music by Ef!

Mark your calendar! The luxury bus departs the Center for Branson, Missouri on Saturday, November 11th for 9 days and 8 nights! Deposits are $75/person through the end of August with the final payment ($849/person or $774 if you have already paid the deposit) due by September 4th. Protect the Skin You’re In! Join Dr. Melissa Voutsalath here at the Senior Center Monday, August 21st at 11 a.m. for a presentation on skin care. Attend this seminar to ask questions and hear first-hand from Dr. Voutsalath on different types of skin cancer and how to protect your skin. As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Voutsalath has contributed research to several publications and papers. She received her doctorate at the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in 2008 and has worked as a physician in medical centers, urgent care centers and in the department of dermatology at the University of Michigan.

Join us Tuesday, August 22nd as the Alamosa Seniors load up for Ohkay Casino in NM. Have fun playing “Cash Blast Tuesday”!

* Free 5 point ear acupuncture each Tuesday @ 10:30 a.m. for veterans and immediate family.

* Walk to Connect - Thursday, August 17th & 31st @ 10 a.m.

* Dominoes - Fridays @ 12:30 p.m.

* Chair Yoga - Fridays @ 10 a.m.

* Chess club - Thursdays @ 1 p.m.
