Alamosa school board honors athletes, hires new coaches

ALAMOSA — The Alamosa School District Board of Education got to take part in celebrating the accomplishments of the district’s athletes along with hearing other important updates during its November meeting.

The cross county coaches from Ortega Middle School, McQuitty and DeLaCerda, proudly presented trophies that students brought home from the 2018 Colorado State Cross Country meet. Board Member Mandy Jackson also commended the Alamosa High School girls volleyball team for reaching the state tournament noting the level of competition was very high.
