LA JARA — A drug awareness and information evening will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, at Centauri Middle School. Everyone is welcome to come and understand the effects of drug abuse in the San Luis Valley. Speakers will include Alamosa County Sheriff Robert Jackson, Dr. Clint Sowards, Colorado State Patrol Drug Recognition Enforcement Sargent Rodney Noga and Associate for the Prevention of Substance Abuse and Disorder Jimmy Johnson.
