Alamosa proclaims Police Week

The City of Alamosa proclaimed the week of May 13 Police Week and May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day in honor of those peace offices who have lost their lives or become disabled in the performance of duty. Alamosa will host a memorial service for all San Luis Valley law enforcement officers lost in the line of duty on Wednesday, May 16, at 5 p.m. at the Alamosa Police Department, 415 Fourth Street.

During Police Week, which is also recognized statewide and nationally, citizens are urged to recognize and honor those who serve their communities with loyal devotion and dedicated service.
