Alamosa man arrested for sexual assault

RIO GRANDE COUNTY— An Alamosa man, who is a Colorado State Patrol employee, was arrested in connection to a sexual assault, according to the Rio Grande County Sheriff's Office. 

Tony Jackson Hill, 37, of Alamosa, was arrested on Jan. 19 on suspicion of sexual assault, the sheriff's office reported and was to "be advised" on Jan. 20. 

"The Colorado State Patrol has been made aware of allegations and charges against Tony Hill, a Communications Technician employed by the State Patrol and stationed at the Alamosa Regional Communications Center," CSP officials stated. "Mr. Hill has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of internal and external investigations." 

Hill has been employed by the Colorado State Patrol since March 2020 and stationed at the Alamosa Regional Communications Center since his hire date, according to CSP officials. 

The Rio Grande County Sheriff's Office stated it received a sexual assault report at 10 p.m. on Jan. 18 and began investigating. 

Hill was arrested at 2:42 p.m. on Jan. 19. 

Due to the nature of the incident, the sheriff's office stated it would not be releasing specific information about the victim.
