Alamosa holds first Oktobrüfest

Andrew Medina winces as he tries to hold a 44 oz. beer stein filled with water longer than his friends. Medina won the contest, having held the glass without spilling for three minutes and 35 seconds—the longest of the entire day.

Alamosa County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Randy Wright recognizes Tracy Stevens for her service to the chamber during Oktobrüfest on Saturday. The chamber was instrumental in hosting the inaugural event and after three years of work Stevens will be moving to Phoenix, Arizona to be with her family.
