After arriving on scene in less than three minutes, Deputy Cazares interviewed the child, who said, among other things, the sexual assault had been going on for several years. At the conclusion of the interview, it was advised that, per protocol, the child be placed in the custody of the Colorado Department of Human Services who then contacted a family member where the child is now staying.

The Probable Cause Statement lists the time of Felix’s arrest as 4:15 p.m. on Thursday afternoon when she was reportedly taken into custody as she was leaving work. No details are known about when or where Felix-Lopez was arrested.

Both individuals appeared in court on Friday afternoon for advisement of charges with Felix scheduled for court on Dec. 26 for a return filing of charges and Felix-Lopez scheduled for Jan. 2. Bond was set in both cases at $60,000.
