Alamosa ARTscape 2021-22

ALAMOSA —The City of Alamosa is accepting entries now for the fifth annual “Alamosa ARTscape” art-on-loan outdoor public art exhibit. Alamosa ARTscape is open to professional and amateur artists. Applications will be accepted online only at www.callforentry.org. Application deadline is March 6, 2021.

Art will be selected by jury in March 2021 and installed on September 17, 2021 as part of the Alamosa ARTs Festival on September 17 and 18 in downtown Alamosa. Installation will be followed by a public-invited artist’s reception on Friday evening, and other events with partners on Saturday.

September 17-18 2021 – Alamosa ARTs Festival

Sculptures purchased for permanent placement by the City from past ARTscape exhibits include El Pastor by Huberto Maestas, Old Goat and Longhorn by Amyas Maestas, Trouvaille by Kasia Polkowska, Sisters by Hueberto Maestas, The Rusted Spire by Chris Knight, and Tower Beacon by Sam Bridgham.  Sculptures purchased by local art supporters and donated to SLV Health include Running Girl by Harold Linke and Sandhill Cranes by Ken Cable.
