ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Volleyball team took all three sets while hosting Sanford on Tuesday evening.

The Moose (17-2) are in the midst of another postseason run, piling up wins on their way to mid-November.

The Alamosa volleyball team is a perfect 6-0 in their league, leading rival Centauri by a game. Alamosa is also represented well in the state ranked individual stats in three different categories. Sanford (7-6) has been battling with league rival Del Norte recently completing a 1-1 series tie and currently holds the No. 4 spot in the district with a 4-1 record.

Things on Tuesday went just about as one would expect a meeting between a 2A team taking on the third-ranked 3A team in the state. Alamosa started by taking the first two sets by identical 25-14 scores. Sanford got into the third set and made a run at closing the lead but Alamosa proved too much finalizing the match at 3-0.

Alamosa will go on the road for an Intermountain League Triangular at Monte Vista on Saturday, Oct. 12th. Alamosa will face Monte Vista (2-11) and Pagosa Springs (4-9). Sanford will also go back to league play with a Friday contest against Sargent (4-8).
