Adams State will award first doctorate degrees in May

Richard Audsley, Adams State University Ph.D. candidate, stands between Dr. Mark Manzanares, Counselor Education Department chair, and Dr. Cheri Meder, counselor education associate professor. Audsley was the first to defend his dissertation on campus, February 12. His dissertation, “Responding to Collective Trauma through Community Connectedness,” was based on years of research. Adams State Counselor Education will award the university’s first doctorate degrees during the May 2018 Commencement Ceremony. Currently, four students from the cohort of 10 are scheduled to defend in the month of February.
