Adams State Teacher Education offers opportunity for SLV teachers

ALAMOSA—The Adams State University Teacher Education Department is offering San Luis Valley teachers a complete grant funded opportunity to earn up to ten credits in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects through Diverse Cultural Experiences.

This will include four Friday classes in spring 2017 for two credits, abundant lesson plans and $250 worth of supplies. The sessions will be presented by experienced STEM faculty.

Those involved in spring 2017 will have the opportunity to participate in a two-week travel course to the Four Corners region for six credit hours. Lastly a two-credit follow up course will be offered in the fall of 2017.  

Those completing all 10 credits will obtain a STEM certificate of completion from Adams State University.
