Acie Isaac Javalera, 27

Alamosa resident Acie Isaac Javalera, 27, went to his eternal rest on March 19, 2019. Acie was born on June 2, 1991 in Alamosa, Colorado, the beloved son of Felipe Gutierrez and Rocio Javalera. A Kind, loving and compassionate friend to all, Acie was known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed listening to music, drawing, coloring, going hiking, and building things. His greatest joy in life came from the time he was able to spend with his children, family and friends. Acie’s time here with us was not long enough, but he left many with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife Anna Velasquez of Alamosa, CO; parents Rocio Javalera of Monte Vista, Felipe Gutierrez of Mexico; daughter Dianeis Javalera of Alamosa, CO; son Jace Javalera of Alamosa, CO; step-children Dariana Arvizo, Raylee Arvizo, Nevaeh Arvizo, Jayda David, Nevin Romero all of Alamosa, CO; sister Heidy Gutierrez of Mexico, brothers Jesus Gutierrez, Aden Gutierrez both of Monte Vista, CO; maternal grandparents Olga and Cosme Javalera of Monte Vista, CO; paternal grandparents Roberto and Julia Gutierrez of Mexico. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM also at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Workers Union Cemetery.
