Accounting students receive scholarships

ALAMOSA – Three Adams State University students each received a $2,500 prestigious scholarship for the Fall 2017 term from the Educational Foundation of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. The Foundation promotes accounting education in Colorado and supports students pursuing the CPA career path.

* Jessica Gilmore was awarded the Mark J. Smith Scholarship

* Jordan Hicks was awarded a General Scholarship

* John Owsley was awarded the Lori Nelson / EKSH Scholarship

Juniors, seniors, and graduate students from 13 Colorado colleges and universities applied for the competitive scholarships, completing essays and submitting transcripts and resumes. Winners were selected by the CPAs and educators who serve on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
