Aaron J. Borrego

Aaron J. Borrego left this life for his next adventure on August 25th at the age of 64.

Aaron was a proud, rebellious and stubborn man. However, he was also a very generous, tender and open-minded man. His sense of humor was contagious, his restless spirit was contagious as well as his delightful and so-tasty culinary skills. When we worked as innkeepers at The Cottages in Silver City, our guests cheered for his Thanksgiving dinners.

He could repair just about anything. Aaron had the knack for finding older vehicles and getting them working again. And how he loved to drive. He was a truck driver for many, many years for different companies, but mostly loved his logging days in Arizona.

Aaron also served as helicopter crew chief in the Air Force.

Aaron loved a good movie too. He would enjoy watching the same ones over and over and over.

He was such a great conversationalist and enjoyed discussing metaphysics and other spiritual topics.  We will surely miss those thought-provoking conversations.

Aaron is survived by his four boys: Nathaniel, Phillip, Thayne, Ashton, and siblings: Monica, Dona, Valerie, Ezra, David, Ben and Marie.

A memorial service will be held on Sept. 24th in Lakeside, Ariz.
