A Trail of Thoughts: A word about journeys

Going the distance is not always easy. I was reminded of this truth when I recently had the opportunity to attend a concert. While the trip was worth it, a journey to Denver was required...in early rush hour traffic. Fortunately, my friend was kind enough to be willing to brave the drive, and somehow, we made it in plenty of time. It was only because of making the journey that we were able to experience high-quality entertainment and have a fun time. Life itself is a journey. Sometimes that journey can be pleasant; other times, it can get extremely rough. However, pressing even through trying times will produce rewards more often than not.

I also have to remember that the journey of life is impossible to face alone. That is why I am thankful for my family and friends daily. It is incredible what can happen when you have the right kind of support. There are countless examples of how going the distance can result in good outcomes. Any worthwhile effort will almost inevitably involve a hardship of some sort. While this little fact can be highly frustrating at times, I have to remember that everything happens for a reason. Things do have a way of working out. I have seen that reality play out time and time again, and I have full confidence that it will continue to do so.
