'A Thanksgrieving Reflection' set

ALAMOSA — We celebrate Thanksgiving because gratitude is essential to human life. But grief is essential for healing our history of violence. It’s really hard to be thankful and sorrowful at the same time. But this is life: sometimes, joy and sorrow come together.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Alamosa will look at an essay by author Isabel Call, entitled “A Thanksgrieving Reflection,” on her review of early European settlers and Native Americans in the mythological pairing of expressing gratitude during harvest time.

The UUs meet at 330 San Juan Avenue in Alamosa. All are welcome! For further information, call Jan Oen at 719-480-4771.
