2023 Summerfest on the Rio is June 2-3

ALAMOSA —Summerfest on the Rio is nearly here. This annual festival provides extensive arts and craft talents, a variety of musical entertainment, and plenty of activities for children. Situated along the winding Rio Grande in the beautiful and spacious Cole Park; Summerfest is known for its music, family fun, and culinary delights.

This year, the free festival will again run Friday and Saturday on June 2 and 3 with the fun beginning Friday at 2 p.m. 

Friday is jam-packed with Summerfest’s signature concerts in the park from 2-3:30 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. New this year is Alamosa Live Music Association’s Battle of the Bands from 5-8 p.m. Bands IN TOTO, Steve Hield, G Stylez, Lucky Overton Trio, Absolution and Friday headliner Kelsey Jo and the Wildcards close out the evening from 8-10 p.m. 

Saturday the park starts buzzing at 10 a.m. with vendors ready to show off their unique handmade wares. Multiple musical genres will be represented on stage all day and dancing, smiles and good times abound. On Saturday, the music starts at 11 a.m. and Bob Purcell and the Outsiders headline the evening slate from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Pets are not allowed for patron safety.
