Prescribed burns planned at national wildlife refuges

VALLEY — The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will be conducting prescribed burns this fall on the Alamosa, Baca, and Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuges to remove old, matted vegetation to improve wildlife habitat.
