Jesus Lopez (Guero)

Our beloved Jesus Lopez (Guero) passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was surrounded by his wife and loving family. He was born Jan. 22, 1975, to Carlos Lopez and Dionicia Aguilar in Cd. Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua.

He is survived by his loving wife Berenice Lopez of Alamosa, Colo., his son Carlos (Lilly) of Rogers, Ark., his daughters Jimena (Jose) of Alamosa, Colo., Vianney (DJ) of Monte Vista, Colo., Briana (Jesus) of Alamosa, Colo., his grandchildren Amaia and Alexander of Rogers, Ark., his sisters, Rosa Ester (Gilberto), Manuela (Carlos), Amelia (Javier) all from Cd. Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Dionicia Lopez Aguilar, his siblings, Juana Lopez and Abelardo Lopez, his nephews Guadalupe Villa, Francisco Villa, Daniel Tapia and his niece Liliana Lopez.

Guero worked for many years at J.T. Timber Falling in Blanca, Colo. He worked with many great coworkers and had a great boss. From a young age Guero worked very hard and took pride in all his accomplishments.

Guero had a great passion for riding his Harley along with his wife and all his biker friends that he met along his journey. He loved to spend time on Facebook marketplace, buying cars, work machines, car parts etc. Doing so he would spend all hours of the day in his container, playing his favorite music and working on those cars.

On weekends, he found joy going out to the dances with his wife and friends.

Now for those who had the privilege of knowing him knew he could always make you laugh. He loved to tell all his friends and family his jokes that he would laugh just as much as telling them. On his days off, Guero would sit on the couch and watch his favorite Spanish soap operas.

Guero had such an outgoing personality, he made so many friends everywhere he went. He touched so many lives and made so many great friendships. Guero took pride in the best way possible in his appearance. He always made sure he looked good from his shirt to his boots.

Up to his final day, he demonstrated his love for all his family, and he will be greatly missed.

Guero’s viewing will take place at Romero Valley Funeral home in Alamosa, Colo., on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. His service will take place, at the Center Assembly of God Church in Center, Colo., on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 12 p.m. followed by a luncheon at the old center scales.
