Eunice Catherine Barnes was born September 8, 1930, in Lakeland, FL to parents, Zerney Burnes Barnes and Eunice Pipkin Barnes. She was the youngest of four siblings -- Zerney Barnes, Jr., Richard Barnes and Elizabeth Barnes (MacKinnon). Eunice spent her early years among many friends and relatives.
