Monte Vista Police Report

Posted: Thursday, Aug 7th, 2014

MONTE VISTA The Monte Vista Police Department responded to two burglaries in the last week: 113 Euclid St Generator red/brown in color 3,000 watts, small generator red in color 1,000 watts; and 502 Jefferson St - orange Husqvarna chainsaw with 50-1 marked on the top of it, and Weedeater green weed cutter.

After viewing the cases, it appears the suspects are getting into the backyards through the alleys.

The police also had an attempted burglary at 55 Morris. No entry was made, but a black pickup with three males was seen by a witness in the area.

Two suspects have been identified in the vehicle break-in case that occurred the week before last. Police are working on witness interviews to try to wrap up that case.

On Monday, August 5 a person was shot in the hand with a BB gun near the Skate Park.

There was no life threatening injury and the investigation is continuing.
