Youth to serve lemonade — and hope

ALAMOSA — Likely the youngest booth “proprietor” at Summerfest on the Rio this weekend will be 8-year-old Peyton Sanchez whose lemonade stand will serve cool drinks for an even cooler purpose.

Strictly on a donation basis, Peyton will give cups of lemonade to thirsty Summerfest attendees with the hope of collecting enough donations to buy gifts for young patients at Children’s Hospital. He also hopes to provide money for “Miss Pat” to continue the arts and crafts program at Children’s.

“I will give out gifts and give part of the money to the art lady that does fun crafts with kids at Children’s Hospital,” Peyton explaine
