ALAMOSA — Authorities do not suspect foul play in the death of a woman outside the Inn of the Rio Grande on Wednesday.
Alamosa County Coroner Kevin Rogers stated that his office was dispatched on Wednesday at roughly 12:15 p.m. to the parking lot of the Inn of the Rio Grande in Alamosa for a woman who passed away in her car there sometime in the mid morning hours on April 2. The woman was identified as Paula Howe, 52, who was just passing through Alamosa.
Deputy Coroner Harry Alejo was the investigating officer from the coroner’s office as well as officers from the Alamosa Sheriff’s Office.
Rogers stated he ordered an autopsy that was performed on Thursday with results still pending.
“At this point, we don’t believe any foul play to be present, but are still awaiting autopsy results to confirm this suspicion,” Rogers said on Thursday.
