SLV residents trained for water leadership

ALAMOSA — There is a new crop of water leaders in the Valley.

The Rio Grande Water Conservation District (RGWCD), San Luis Valley Water Conservancy District (SLVWCD), Rio Grande Watershed Conservation and Education Initiative (RGWCEI) and Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project (RGHRP) sponsored the Rio Grande Leaders Course last week, providing 25 future water leaders the opportunity to engage in education and networking in preparation for a future role in safeguarding, developing and managing the Valley’s water resources.
