Abandoned horses seized near border

COSTILLA COUNTY – After three days of teamwork, 57 horses are now in a better place.

The Costilla County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) executed a warrant and removed the horses from a property near the New Mexico border in Costilla County, according to a CCSO press release.

Property owner, A.J. White, aka Brother Anthony, who has been considered missing since January, allegedly abandoned the horses and has been missing since early January 2014.
