ALAMOSA — As part of a statewide tour celebrating the Farm Bill’s passage, Senator Michael Bennet met with Valley community members Wednesday in Alamosa to share information and to take complaints and concerns back to Washington.

Bennet, a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, helped craft the Farm Bill using input from Coloradans, ensuring the final version of the bill contained the state’s priorities including strengthened crop insurance program, improved conservation easements, reauthorization of the livestock disaster program, important forestry measures for reducing the risk of wildfires and the continuation of Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) funding for Colorado counties.
