ALAMOSA — Unemployment rates across the Valley top both the state and national average of 6.2 percent and 6.6 percent, respectively.
On Wednesday, Alamosa County Commissioner Michael Yohn presented South Central Workforce data during the Alamosa County Commissioner meeting breaking down the Valley’s unemployment rates.
Alamosa County’s unemployment rate, according to the data, is 7 percent, the average hourly wage is $14.85 and the average weekly unemployment payment is $356.
