VALLEY — Little red dresses are for more than Valentine’s Day dinners this month.

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs- Colorado Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC-CFWC) Town and Country Club, Center, is circulating American Heart Association red dress pins this week to bring as much attention as possible to women and heart disease, the number one killer of American gals.

“We want to make people aware of heart disease in women, “ said GFWC-CFWC Home Life Chairman Jolene Robinson, 73, on Wednesday morning at the Sand Dunes Swimming Pool before hopping in the water to teach an aerobics class.

“It really is the number one killer. It kills more than cancer.”
