ALAMOSA — An armed robbery on Wednesday shortly before 4 p.m. has the Alamosa Police Department (APD) on the lookout for a suspect and a yellow vehicle.
The Wright Valley Oil gas station near McDonald’s on Highway 160 was robbed yesterday, and the suspect - a male with a husky build, about 5’ 11”, 190 pounds - forced the station’s cashier to hand over an undetermined amount of cash, said Alamosa Police Deputy Chief Robert Jackson on Wednesday night. After getting what he wanted, the suspect hightailed it from the scene in a yellow vehicle similar to Chevy Cobalt.
The APD is now searching for the getaway vehicle, and the suspect who was believed to be with another man after he fled the gas station, Jackson said.
