ALAMOSA — As promised, the Alamosa High School (AHS) stadium welcomes the public to come out to play.
Last week, the Alamosa Board of Education (ABOE) hashed out the basic rules and regulations for stadium use, which are asking the community to treat the $5 million taxpayer funded stadium with respect.
“It’s like using the playground at the elementary school,” said AHS coach, teacher and stadium founder Andy Lavier. “This is just the next step in the process. We promised the community it would be open to them.”
The preliminary plans to open the stadium up include providing access through its southeastern gate from dawn until dusk to the stadium’s track and field. Restrooms and other stadium facilities will not be available to the public unless a group signs a Facilities Use Agreement with the Alamosa School District (ASD) prior to useFor the complete article see the 11-30-2013 issue.
