Encouraged by retired educator Jerry Reed and Alamosa High School Principal Glen Hodges, these Alamosa High School seniors, who are now old enough to vote, registered to vote and cast their ballots for the first time at the Alamosa County Clerk & Recorder's office on Friday afternoon. From left are Brianna Apodaca, Kate Taylor, Roman Romo, Emma Smith, Jerry Reed, Hunter Jack, Tommy Maestas, Danny Baker, Darian Chacon and Johnathon Montoya. "This is my eighth election," said Reed who recalled taking other classes of seniors to the courthouse to vote. He still substitute teaches at AHS and has been a voter himself since 1968.
