ALAMOSA — Two Main Street break-ins this week have the Alamosa Police Department (APD) on the lookout for someone with sticky fingers.
Both St. Ives restaurant and Valley Audio were burglarized during the night, said APD Captain Robert Jackson. St. Ives was broken into sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, and Valley Audio sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
The unknown thief or thieves lifted a large amount of cash from two safes located in the restaurant’s business office, he said, and over $10,000 worth of mostly Matco brand tools were taken from Valley Audio.
The method of entry into the businesses after hours is still unknown, Jackson said.
Anyone with information about the two Main Street burglaries can anonymously contact Crimestoppers, 589-4111, or APD Cpl. Joey Spangler, 589-2548.
