ALAMOSA — Another Alamosa County property was judged blighted last week in a Show Cause Hearing.

The Alamosa County Commissioners (ACC) unanimously found Theresa Medina’s property, 290 Costilla Blvd., blighted after hearing from both Medina and Alamosa County Code Officer Jinger Getz during their regular meeting on Wed., Oct. 23.

Medina’s property, which she has owned since 2011 and has been under the county’s eye since at least 2006, does not have active sewer and water services, and has an accumulation of junk, trash, debris and inoperable vehicles.

Alamosa County staff feels Medina’s living condition is a health concern, and the house inhabitable, which should result in condemnation.
