ALAMOSA—The Adams State University volleyball team rebounded from a loss this past Saturday with a three-set sweep of the Black Hills State University Yellowjackets in Plachy Hall on Thursday night.

The Grizzlies won with set scores of 25-21, 25-14 and 25-23.

All three sets had both teams battling throughout the match with tied scores throughout but the Grizzlies were notorious for going on key to put some distance at the end of the sets for the wins.

Adams State was led by senior hitter Deprece Washington, who had 14 kills while senior outside hitter Megan Tapia had eight kills.

Senior setter Gabriella Riffilato had 36 assists on the night while junior outside hitter Leah Nelson was responsible for three service aces. All three of the aces were part of a huge run in the first set.
