ALAMOSA ó Alamosa city council is cautiously moving forward with requests from Dan Russell regarding a proposed RV resort on the former Polston Primary School property.
The council on Wednesday scheduled a 6 p.m. work session for Wednesday, Oct. 30, a week following the court date for the Polston lawsuit and the week before the councilís next regular meeting. The work sessionís primary purpose will be for council to receive information from city staff and ask city staff questions regarding developer Dan Russellís land exchange request.
Alamosa City Manager Heather Brooks said she understood the council wanted to perform due diligence in gathering information, and she and staff needed direction about how the council wanted to proceed.
The councilors present during the October 16 meeting agreed they wanted a work session with staff so they could have more information to make an educated decision. They also decided they wanted the work session after the court hearing but before their next regular city council meeting.
