ALAMOSA — We say that we will never forget, but most of us do. Daily life occupies our attention, and soon we simply move on and leave the past behind us.

Except for people like Chuck Cooper and those who joined him Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 21, for the 30th Annual POW/MIA March. The march, which is sponsored each year by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the Marine Corps League and the American Legion, began in Angel Fire, New Mexico. That is where the first major memorial created to honor veterans of the Vietnam war is located. From there they marched to Cerro, New Mexico, where they held their “Missing Man Ceremony."
