ALAMOSA — Adams State University President David Svaldi recently appointed Professor Margaret Doell as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs. She will serve half-time in that role for this academic year, while continuing her duties as chair of the Art Department.
As assistant to Dr. Frank Novotny, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Doell will oversee the budgets for adjunct faculty and summer school, working closely with the department chairs.
Doell recently completed a one-year American Council on Education (ACE) Fellowship at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS). The prestigious ACE Fellowship program requires institutions to provide additional administrative duties to the Fellow upon completion of the Fellowship. Established in 1965, the ACE Fellows Program strengthens institutions and leadership in American higher education by identifying and preparing promising senior faculty and administrators for responsible positions in college and university administration. For the complete article see the 09-21-2013 issue.
