Daniel Mascarenas, 31, Monte Vista, was charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm by a previous offender, prohibited use of a weapon and resisting arrest when officers made contact with him outside the First Street establishment after on site security was altered to man carrying a weapon on the premises, according to Alamosa Police Department (APD) reports. His Community Corrections parolee escape status was unknown at the time of the arrest due to a parole data entry error, and only subsequently determined from an Attempt to Locate bulletin located in the APD.
