Wesley Wayne Quinlan was born August 24, 1994 in Boulder the son of Ron Quinlan and Glenda Gurule Aretxuloeta. Wes and his girlfriend Wiyanna both perished in the Boulder floods.
Wes graduated in May from Centaurus High School. He was an aspiring independent film maker and active DJ. Wes was planning on attending Colorado Film School in Denver. He will be remembered as a creative eclectic free spirit.
He is survived by parents, Ron Quinlan and Glenda Gurule Aretxuloeta; step father, Jake Anderson; step brother, Trevor Anderson; great grandmother, Mildred Coleman; grandparents, Wayne and Sue Quinlan, Estevan Gurule, Jr. and the late Flora E. Gurule; nephew of Andy (Geneva), Sandra, Stevie Gurule, Lora (Steve) Behlmer, Annette Espinoza, Charlotte (Will Holland) Gurule, Brad (Laura), Brian (Barb) , Todd (Moker) Quinlan and Tammy (Mike) Emerich. Wes is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service, Saturday, Sept. 21, 2pm, NCAR, Tree Terrace, 1850 Table Mesa Drive, Boulder. In lieu of flowers memorials to Wesley Wayne Quinlan Scholarship Fund for students pursuing a career in film at Centaurus High School, 10300 South Boulder Road Lafayette, Colorado 80026.
