ALAMOSA — One alleged assailant from last week’s injurious Grizzly Inn fight is in custody at the Alamosa County Jail.

Devon Long, 28, Alamosa, is the only suspect the Alamosa Police Department (APD) has booked in the ongoing investigation, charged with three counts of second-degree felony assault and two counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, according to APD reports.

Antonio Santillanes, 36, Albuquerque, N.M., Abrilla Carmen Franco, 39, Alamosa, and Cassandra Kay Wilson, 30, Alamosa, were issued summonses for disorderly conduct.

Additional summonses are pending.

A fight broke out at the Grizzly Inn on Main Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5., sending five people to the hospital, two with potentially fatal injuries, according to APD reports.

The APD is using surveillance video to determine the cause of the fight between about eight locals and out of town visitors that resulted in series injuries from knives and crowbars, according to APD reports.

One individual was flown out of Alamosa on a Flight for Life due to the severity of injuries, according to APD reports.

Another individual underwent emergency surgery at San Luis Valley Health and was placed in the hospital’s internal care unit.

At press time Friday, the hospitalized victims were still alive and undergoing intensive care.
